Please note that payment for services also implies full agreement with these Terms and Conditions.
Training, Equipment and Handling Methods
Landhai does not tolerate the use of inhumane or abusive training methods, all methods used and taught are in accordance with the prevailing laws at the specific venue. (Please note the use of electronic collars is prohibited in Wales and therefore dogs are not permitted to wear such devices at the Wrexham centre.)
Any handler Landhai deems to be using inhumane or abusive methods during any workshop, seminar or other event may be required to leave the event. In such circumstances they will have forfeit the event and any associated payment.
Training methods may include teaching the dog to overcome challenges, adversity and pressure but only through safe, humane and fair methods. The use of tools or methods not advocated by Landhai and/or not legally permitted within that region may be discussed during events. This does not constitute any form of endorsement of these tools/methods but provides education to support the use of acceptable tools/methods.
Event Content
During events Landhai encourages open, rational, constructive and informative debate on topics covered. Where such discussion becomes disruptive to the event those participants causing such disruption will be required to desist and in failing to do so will be required to leave the event. In such circumstances they will have forfeit the event and any associated payment.
Any behaviour Landhai deems inappropriate, including but not limited to abusive, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour may cause the individual(s) to be required to leave the event. In such circumstances they will have forfeit the event and any associated payment.
Payment, Rescheduled Dates, Refunds and Cancellations
Payment is required in full at the time of booking an event in order to secure your place. Event booking payments are non-refundable. Event bookings may be transferred with written agreement of Landhai and not less that 48 hours before the event. There will be a £10 administrative charge for all event transfers.
If you cancel your place on the event no refunds will be given. If the event has sold out and Landhai are able to resell your place to an alternative attendee a refund will be provided less a £20 administrative fee.
No refunds will be provided for failure to attend any event or part thereof.
All event times & dates are subject to change prior to event start dates. Where there is a requirement to amend or cancel events Landhai will communicate this to you at the earliest appropriate time and offer the choice of a full refund or a place on the rescheduled event as appropriate.
Privacy and Marketing
Photographs may be taken during events. Such photos may be used by Landhai for the purposes of marketing. If you do not wish for photos of you and / or your dog to be used or shared, indicate this at the time of booking.
Written feedback may be used for marketing purposes. If you would prefer us not to use your feedback in this way, please notify us at the time of providing the feedback.
Please refrain from taking photos during events, both out of respect for other attendees and to allow you to focus on the course content. Landhai will take photos and you are welcome to request copies or to share those placed online.
Young Handlers
Young handlers under 16 are very welcome to attend events but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of young handlers at all times, Landhai accepts no responsibility for young handlers at events.
In order to encourage young handlers to develop their skills and knowledge Landhai offer discounts for many events. Please contact Landhai directly (info@landhai.co.uk) for young handler discounts.
Safety
You are responsible for your dog and its actions but also for yourself and your actions.
Due to the active nature of dog training we ask that you pay due care and attention to your own safety and that of others at all times. If for any reason you do not feel capable of participating in any part of the event you should notify Landhai at the earliest possible opportunity. Any instances of accident or injury must be reported to Landhai at the time they occurred.
All instructions provided by Landhai or individuals delivering events on behalf of Landhai must be followed at all times.
Landhai and any persons acting on its behalf accept no liability for accident, injury, illness, damage or loss affecting any persons, dogs or property while at the classes. Attendance at a class signifies acceptance of these terms and those above.
Canine Participants
Landhai venues require that dogs remain on lead and are not allowed to make contact with other dogs unless otherwise instructed by Landhai.
Handlers must clean up after their dogs during events and in the surrounding areas.
Unless otherwise notified, it is imperative that dogs attending sessions are social with other dogs and people. If, however, your dog is not comfortable in these circumstances please contact info@landhai.co.uk before booking.
During most events you dog will be required to remain confined to your vehicle or other suitable secure location for prolonged periods of time. It is vital that during this time your dog is comfortable and safe, especially during hot weather. It is your responsibility to provide a secure and safe location, and to monitor your dog regularly.
Health and Vaccination
Bitches in season can normally be accommodated but please contact us before attending so that we can confirm this.
Do not bring your dog to events if they have been in contact with another dog infected by a contagious disease or if they appear to be unwell. Dogs suffering from any contagious illness, including kennel cough, must not attend events until cleared by your vet.
Where a dog shows no signs of exposure prior to an event but during or subsequent to the event is diagnosed with any contagious illness, you must inform Landhai at the easiest possible opportunity.
Please notify Landhai of any underlying medical or dietary conditions that may affect your dog’s participation.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated. Puppies attending any event may attend one week after their first vaccination as long as their vet is in agreement. The disease risk varies all the time, so it is vital that you have this confirmed by your vet before booking.
You accept full responsibility for the protection of your dog from the potential risk of disease, including internal and external parasites. Landhai accept no responsibility for the potential or actual exposure of dogs to disease when attending sessions.
Where your dog is not able to attend, you are encouraged to attend the event yourself without your dog so that do not miss any of the course content. If you decide not to attend, the event the terms and conditions above apply in relation to cancellations and transfers.
Disclaimer
Landhai make every effort to ensure the safety of attendees and dogs during sessions. By making a booking, you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, and people, poses a risk of injury to yourself and your dog. You agree that Landhai will accept no responsibility for any personal injury or damage to property whilst attending an event. You agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of you and / or your dog attending sessions.
You understand and accept that your dog (and its behaviour) remains entirely your responsibility at all times. All dogs are worked at the handlers’ risk, and whilst care is taken, Landhai will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury however so caused to dogs, people or property.
By booking onto any Landhai event you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
